FAQ

What do I need to bring to a Notarization or Loan Signing? You will need a valid form of ID and your loan package or document(s) that needs to be notarized.

What forms of ID are acceptable for a notarization? A state driver's license, photo ID, or passport.

What if I don't have a proper form of ID? If you do not have a valid form of ID, you may bring someone whom you know personally with their proper ID to Attest your identity. They will also have to sign paperwork and give an oath to verify your and their identity.

What happens during a Notarization or loan signing? During a Notarization, I will first verify your identity with a proper form of ID. We will go through the documents which I will witness you sign or Initial where it is needed. You will then take a legal oath confirming that all information you have given me is true and correct. I will then place my notary seal where it is needed, and you will sign once more in my Notary journal confirming the date, location, and type of document that was notarized. If any documents are signed before our meeting, I cannot notarize them.

-During a loan signing, I will verify the identity of the signer or signer with the proper forms of ID. I will then collect any items that are requested by the title or loan company such as photocopies of IDs, checks, etc. We will then go through your loan document package, where I will give you a brief description of what each document is, and show where to sign or initial. I will place my Notary Seal where needed, you will take a legal oath to confirm that all information you have given me is true and correct, and then you will sign the Notary Journal to confirm the date, location, and type of documents notarized.

How long does a Notarization take? That will depend on how many documents you need notarized. Single notarizations can take only a few minutes.

How long does a loan signing take? A loan signing can take approximately one hour.

What if I have questions or concerns about my loan terms or other parts of my loan package? legally cannot answer any questions, or advise on your loan. Any questions you have should go to your loan officer, The Loan or Title company. If any questions or concerns come up during the loan signing, I can help direct you to where you can get answers. This can however put the signing to a halt if you, or if I feel unsure or uncomfortable about moving forward.

What are the Notary signing fees? The fees depend on the type of notarization, amount of signatures taken, seals placed, and any certificates or forms that need to be added. Remote notarization fees differ from in-person fees. All pricing can be found on the fees page.

How Does A Remote Notarization Work? You can request a remote notarization appointment with me by phone, email, or text. At the time and day set for the appointment, I will send you a link via email for the Online Notary platform. You will need to have a working webcam and microphone so that I may see and communicate with you. You will also need to upload a valid ID for verification, as well as your documents to be notarized, and your chosen form of payment.

How Long Will It Take For My Documents To Be Ready After A Remote Online Notarization? Your documents will be ready to download in just a few minutes after a completed session.
